Program objectives
Change behaviour instead of mindset
When Lean mindset, tools and methods do not bring any further improvement in production or service delivery systems, it is insufficient to simply promote lean transformation „top-down” but „bottom-up” support is also essential. Helping managers to change their behaviour is key for successful transformation and also a real competitive advantage.
Turn knowledge into action
During the program, we put great emphasis on the practical implementation of the gained knowledge. Dual-coaching sessions combined with small-group transfer-workshops are designed to empower managers to try the lean leadership tools in their daily practice, getting their own experience and refining their way of working.
Improving efficiency
Participants not only learn how to be more effective, but also how to develop efficiency in a Lean context, how to enhance the processes on their field of operation applying the Lean Mindset and using the tools and methods of Lean Leadership.
Program structure
Practical workshops
The workshops combines and complements leadership-behaviour development (like managing perfomance and conflicts, motivation, coaching) with the Lean leadership principles and tools.
Transfer workshops
How managers can act to optimise processes, lean culture, communication and leadership. How to improve strategic thinking about MBOs, VSA, flow of material and information, and identifying and eliminating losses in production and office environment.
Follow-up sessions
In between workshops, follow-up coaching sessions in pairs help managers refine development goals and make specific commitments for action that lead to making visible progress towards those objectives.
Shopfloor management
How to improve structured problem solving using the A3 method. Understanding of clear problem definition and its root causes using data and direct observation. Engage stakeholders early to ensure alignment and gather diverse perspectives. Then, use the A3 report to guide a logical flow—from problem identification to countermeasures and follow-up—ensuring clarity, accountability, and continuous learning throughout the process.
On-the-job support
In reality, when a manager has a dilemma or an issue, neither a trainer nor a coach nor HR personnel is around to help. He is left alone with his memory to remember how to resolve that particular situation. We can address this issue by blending the program with our microlearning app, Act2Manage, to support behavioural change on-the-job.
Measurable results
Usage statistics have unequivocally proven that our in-situ app significantly increases the learning activity, as well as the number of commitments and actions participants make. Moreover, besides the focus topics of the actual curriculum, they engage in various other subjects included in different levels or journeys of the app.
