Program objectives
Focus on strengths instead of shortcomings
For a long time the world has revolved around our weaknesses, our mistakes and how to fix them. Workplaces are almost exclusively focused on employee’s shortcomings, so organisational development, training and education are trying to turn us all into what we are not, distracting attention from what we are really good at. The program addresses this tendency to turn the other way around.
Help managers to capitalize on their strengths
The goal of the program is to support managers being aware of their unique strengths, build on them and use them deliberately in their everyday managerial and leadership work. We use GALLUP’s CliftonStrengths during the program.
Support managers to build stronger teams
Managers will be more authentic and credible in their managerial activities and they can increase their impact within their team and organisation by constructing teams with complementary strengths of individuals.
Program structure
Personal strengths workshop
We will discuss business benefits of positive psychology and strength-based work and how talents and strengths impact our everyday lives and leadership, business performance and motivation.
Strengths at work workshop
Managers discover their talents and learn how to form them into specific strengths based on Gallup’s CliftonStrengths assessment. They will learn how they can use their strengths during daily work situations and how they can capitalize on them. They get useful tools to make their strengths last, they get to know each other based on their strengths, discovering how they can rely on each other more efficiently.
Follow-up sessions
We make sure that managers make progress in their development ideas, support them in putting their strengths into practice. We discuss in pairs how they can build their people management activities and leadership style on their strengths.
